Day of Action Against Household and Water Taxes

Tomorrow [Saturday, February 25] will see a state-wide Day of Action in opposition to the household and water taxes, organised by the Campaign Against Household and Water Taxes (CAHWT).

Speaking from Ballyfermot, éirígí Councillor Louise Minihan said, “The campaign in opposition to the Household and Water Taxes is gathering momentum in this area, and right across the state.

“Over the past couple of weeks the campaign has been busy organising local meetings, distributing literature, knocking on doors, and most importantly organising local residents on a street by street basis in opposition to these unjust stealth taxes.

“Saturday’s Day of Action gives us a great opportunity to get our message of mass non registration and non payment across to a wider audience. The Day of Action will also show that the campaign is gathering strength right across this state. By standing together we can make these taxes un-collectable and unworkable.

“So come along to these events and join the mass Campaign Against the Household and Water Taxes!”
