Ard-Fheiseanna

• That the date of Ard Fhéis éirígí be changed to a later date in the calendar year which shall be no later than mid-November each year.
  
  Go n-athrófar dáta Ard-Fheis éirígí go dáta níos moille sa bhliain nach mbeidh níos moille ná lár mhí na Samhna gach bliain.

Saoirse, Ceartas agus Fírinne – Freedom, Justice and Truth

• This Ard Fhéis reaffirms éirígí’s commitment to a 32 County Democratic Socialist Republic and to:
  - the achievement of national territorial reunification, political independence and national sovereignty;
  - the achievement of full national, economic, political and democratic rights for the people of Ireland;
  - the free exercise of those rights without any external impediment.
  
  Athdhearbhaíonn an Ard-Fhéis seo dílseacht éirígí do Phoblacht Shóisialach Dhaonlathach 32-condae agus do:
  - baint amach athaontú na críocha náisiúnta, saoirse pholaitiúil agus ardcheannas náisiúnta;
  - baint amach cearta iomlán náisiúnta, eacnamaíochta, polaitiúla agus daonlathacha do mhuintir na hÉireann;
  - saorchleachtadh na gcearta sin gan aon bhac seachtrach.
• This Ard Fhéis condemns the ongoing British occupation of Ireland and resolves to pursue the dismantlement of the apparatus of British rule in our country. This Ard Fhéis calls for the removal of all British armed forces from the occupied Six Counties.
  
  Cáineann an Ard-Fheis seo fhorghabháil leanúnach na Breataine ar Éirinn agus cinneann leanúint le scriosadh threalamh riail na Breataine inár dtír. Éilíonn an Ard-Fheis seo briseadh fhórsaí armtha na Breataine ó na Sé Chondae forghafa.
• This Ard Fhéis calls upon all Republican activists to actively show leadership at grass roots level in all communities by opposing the RUC/PSNI who continue to suppress the Irish people by their use of imposed, repressive British legislation.
  
  Glaonn an Ard-Fhéis seo ar gach gníomhaí Poblachtach ceannaireacht a thabhairt ag leibhéal na cosmhuintire i ngach pobal trí cur in éadan an RUC/PSNI a leanann orthu ag cur faoi chos mhuintir na hÉireann trí úsáid reachtaíocht smachtúil fhorchurtha na Breataine.
• This Ard Fhéis condemns the use of “special” repressive legislation in both the Six and 26 Counties aimed at Republicans and other progressives; demands the abolition of all such legislation; and in particular expresses its concern at the lack of opposition from political and human rights organisations regarding the use of 28 day detention in the Six Counties which breaches all internationally recognised human and civil rights protections.

• This Ard Fhéis supports all victims of state violence groups in their campaigns for Truth and Justice into state sponsored murder and collusion on the island of Ireland.

Címí – Prisoners

• This Ard Fhéis calls for the immediate and unconditional release of all Irish political prisoners in both Ireland and overseas; sends solidarity greetings to them and their families; and, pending the prisoners’ unconditional release, demands the granting of full political status for all political prisoners wherever they are imprisoned, at home or abroad.

Teanga agus Cultúr – Language and Culture

• Gaeilge is the primary and historic first language of Ireland. This Ard-Fheis calls upon each éirígí member to assist and support the development of An Ghaeilge both inside and outside of éirígí.
  
  Is í an Ghaeilge príomh-theanga stairiúil na h-Éireann. Glaonn an Ard-Fheis seo ar gach aon bhall d’éirígí cuidiú agus tacú a thabhairt do chaomhnú agus athbheochaint na Gaeilge laistigh agus lasmuigh d’éirígí.

Cúrsaí Socheacnamaíocha – Socio-Economic Matters

• This Ard Fhéis:
  - Reiterates our support for the rights of workers;
  - Congratulates trades union members for organising demonstrations, particularly at Visteon in Belfast and at Waterford Glass in Waterford, and defending workers rights in the face of corporate greed;
  - Welcomes the inclusion of a special section within the Ard Fhéis on organised labour, and
  - Agrees that defending workers rights is centrally important to the party’s socio-economic campaigning work over the coming year.
  
  Cinneann an Ard Fhéis seo:
  - Ár dtacaíocht do chearta oibrithe a athdhearbhú;
  - Go molaimid baill na gceardchumann siúd as agoidí a eagrú, go h-airithe ag Visteon i mBéal Feirste, Waterford Glass i bPort Lairge ina measc, agus ag cosaint cearta na n-oibrithe in aghaidh saint chorparáideach;

• This Ard Fhéís affirms that:
  - In responding to the current economic crisis as they have, sections of the leadership of the trade union leadership have abdicated their responsibility to defend the interests of working people;
  - By reigning in militancy and agreeing to live with the savage measures introduced by the 26-county government to save Irish capitalism, those same sections of the trade union leadership have once again confirmed that the interests they serve are the same as those of their big business and government 'social partners';
  - Without fear of contradiction, éirígí states its fundamental belief that the real interests of working people will only be realised when the trade union movement establishes itself as a political force for the advancement of the working class.

• This Ard-Fhéis affirms that:
  - The current global economic meltdown is a direct consequence of the contradictions inherent in the capitalist system;
  - The fundamental contradiction of capitalism is exemplified by the fact that the ruling capitalist class accumulates and keeps for itself ever-increasing and massive amounts of wealth, whereas the workers who produce this wealth do not benefit from it and find it increasingly difficult to make ends meet;
  - The capitalist system is by its very nature unjust, oppressive and unsustainable, being as it is based upon the exploitation of a majority for the benefit of a minority;
  - The attainment of freedom and justice in Ireland and throughout the world is impossible under capitalism;
  - The national and social aspects of the liberation struggle in Ireland are indivisible - one form of freedom is impossible without the other;
  - The struggle in Ireland will not end until the capitalist system in this country is overthrown and replaced with a democratic socialist system; and
  - éirígí resolves to continue its work to build a revolutionary socialist republican party to effectively challenge the injustice and exploitation that exists on this island.

• This Ard-Fhéis affirms that:
  - The solutions to the current economic crisis being proposed by the establishment and its representatives in the main political parties and media are incapable of addressing the fundamental causes of the problem. Indeed, regardless of the issue, none of the solutions they propose are capable of addressing the manifold problems that beset and plague Ireland, be they economic, financial or social, etc., and
  - They are incapable of doing so because they are based upon and emanate from a perspective which sees the current system as being 'just' and only in need of repair, as opposed to exploitative and in need of replacement.
  
  Dearbhaíonn an Ard-Fheis seo:
  - nach bhfuil freagraí ar an ghéarchéim eacnamaíochta reatha de chuid na bunaíochta agus a n-ionadaithe sna príomhpháirtithe polaitiúla agus sna meáin ábalta tabhairt faoi bhunchúiseanna na faidhbe. • This Ard Fhéis opposes the widespread use of private finance initiatives and public private partnerships as a means of funding public services. The provision of health and education in the public sector should be addressed through state funding only.

Conradh Lispóin/ An tAE – Lisbon Treaty/The EU

• This Ard Fhéis congratulates Irish voters for rejecting the Lisbon Treaty, and states its opposition to a re-run of the defeated Lisbon Treaty.
  
  Gabhann an Ard-Fhéis seo a gcomhghairdeachas le lucht vótála as diúltú Chonradh Liospóin agus go bhfuil an Ard-Fheis seo in éadan reifrinn eile ar Chonradh Liospóin.

Ár n-Acmhainní Nádúrtha – Our Natural Resources

• This Ard Fhéis extends our solidarity to the Rossport community, supports the efforts of the Shell to Sea campaign, and commends those participating in that campaign. éirígí advocates the nationalisation of all our country’s natural resources.
  
  Cuireann an Ard Fhéis seo dlúthpháirtíocht do mhuintir Iorrais, tacaíonn muid le cuspóirí fheachtas Shell to Sea agus molaimid iad siúd ata páirteach san fheachtas sin. Molann éirígí le náisiúnú acmhainní nadúrtha uilig ár dtíre.

Cúrsaí Idirnáisiúnta – International Affairs

• This Ard-Fhéis affirms that:
  - The quest for socialism in Ireland is intimately related to the quest for socialism throughout the rest of the world, and
  - éirígí sends fraternal greetings to all those persons and organisations throughout the world who work for the overthrow of the global capitalist system.
  
  Dearbhaíonn an Ard-Fheis seo:
  - go bhfuil dlúthbhaint idir an streachtailt um sóisialachais in Éirinn agus an streachailt um sóisialachais ar fud na cruinne; agus
  - go gcuireann éirígí beannachtaí bráthartha chuig na daoine agus eagraíocht siúd ar fud na cruinne atá ag obair le haghaidh tonnbhriseadh an chórais chaipitligh domhanda.
• That this Ard-Fhéis views the recent Israeli attacks on the people of Gaza and Palestine as mass murder and we condemn US/Israeli imperialism in the Middle East.

• This Ard Fhéis:
  - Condemns the Colombian government’s suppression of the Colombian people and the persecution and assassination of trade unionists battling for workers rights, and
  - Expresses solidarity with the Colombian people, the Justice for Colombia group and the Colombian trade union movement in their campaign for human and workers' rights and their struggle for real social justice and equality.

  - Ar rialtas na Colóime a cháineadh as muintir na Colóime a chur faoi chois agus as géarleanúint agus feallmharú cheardchumannach a throideann ar son cearta oibrithe, agus

• This Ard Fhéis:
  - Reiterates our support for the Basque and Palestinian people in their struggles for freedom and self-determination;
  - Extends fraternal greetings to the revolutionary governments of Cuba, Venezuela and Bolivia and commends them in their efforts to advance and extend true social justice and equality as an example of hope to the world.

• That this Ard-Fhéis supports the call to free those Cuban patriots known as the Miami Five who are incarcerated illegally in the USA and sends revolutionary greetings to the Cuban government and people in their continuing struggle against US imperialism.

• This Ard Fhéis supports the organisation by éirígí of a conference(s) to focus on struggles against imperialism and oppression in an international context e.g. Palestine, Euskal Herria, etc. Speakers could be invited from the countries themselves or from solidarity groups active in Ireland.
  
  Tacaíonn an Ard-Fheis seo le héirígí ag eagrú comhdhála(cha) le díriú ar streachailtí in éadain an impiriúlachais agus cos ar bolg i gcomhthéacs idirnáisiúnta m.sh. an Phalaistín, Tír na mBascach, srl. Amendments to Bunreacht éirígí

• That this Ard Fhéis amends Rule 6.1.4 of Bunreacht éirígí to read:“An Ard-Fhéis shall elect An Cathaoirleach (Chair), Leas-Chathaoirleach (Vice-Chair), An Rúnaí Ginearálta (General Secretary), Cisteoirí (Treasurers) x 2, An tOifigeach Caidrimh Phoiblí (Public Relation Officer) and An tOifigeach Ballraíochta (Membership Officer) to serve on An Ciorcal Náisiúnta.”
  
  Go n-athraíonn An Ard Fhéis seo Riail 6.1.4 Bunreacht éirígí, go dti “Toghfaidh An Ard-Fhéis An Cathaoirleach, Leas-Chathaoirleach, An Rúnaí Ginearálta, Cisteoirí (x2), An tOifigeach Caidrimh Phoiblí agus An t-Oifigeach Ballraíochta le bheith ar An Chiorcal Náisiúnta.”
